Pomodoro Timer
This Pomodoro timer runs a focus-and-break sequence in your browser. Start with 25 minutes of focus and a 5-minute break, choose the number of cycles, and pause or skip a phase when your plan changes.

Focus
Set your options, then start.
The countdown updates from your device clock when the page can run. Browser audio may be blocked in a background tab, and no alert is guaranteed while the device sleeps or the page is closed.
How to use this timer
- Choose the focus length, short-break length, and number of focus rounds.
- Select Start. The timer advances to the next phase when the current one ends.
- Pause, resume, or skip a phase if your schedule changes.
What does this Pomodoro timer do?
The default session uses 25 minutes of focus, three 5-minute breaks between focus rounds, and a 15-minute long break after the final round. Change the durations and round count before starting; the timer builds the sequence from those settings.
When should I change the defaults?
Use shorter focus blocks when you are testing a new routine, or longer blocks when the task needs uninterrupted setup. The timer does not prescribe a productivity method: set the lengths that fit your work and take breaks when you choose.
What happens if the tab is in the background?
The display recalculates from the device clock when the browser can run the page again, so a throttled tab catches up. Browser audio rules and device sleep can delay or block sound. Keep the device awake if you need a dependable audible reminder; reloading the page resets the session.
Common questions
Can I change the 25-minute focus interval?
Yes. Set the focus and break lengths before you start. The next session uses those values to build its phases.
Does the timer automatically start the next phase?
Yes. When a focus or break phase ends, the next phase starts and the page shows its name and remaining time.
Will the alarm sound if my laptop is asleep?
Not necessarily. A sleeping device or browser audio restriction can prevent sound, so keep the device awake when the alert matters.
